Matter of Taste

All I’m saying is, you cannot possibly know that. And if you do, well… I stand corrected. And given that, I’m tempted to ask some follow up questions, but I won’t, because I don’t really want to know the answers.

It’s been a while since I did an App Watch, but there’s been so much this week I couldn’t pass it up.

First of all, if you’re not keeping an eye on the Appvent Calendar and EA Daily Deals you should be as there have been some awesome freebies this past week. Here’s some of my recommendations for today:

Mirror’s Edge
iPad Version
Oddly enough I like the iOS version better than the console version. Probably because it’s a side-scroller instead of first person. Parkour just works better this way, in my opinion. Well worth the price of free on both the iPod and iPad.

HYBRID: Eternal Whisper
I’m kind of obsessed with all things GAMEVIL, so when their games are free I tend to tell people to “get them now”. This one really reminds me of the Tails games (Tails of Symphonia, etc.), so if those are your thing, you should definitely get this one.

Catball Eats it All
This one isn’t completely free. It’s only the first “courses” (sets of levels), but it’s still very worth it. Think of it as a side-scrolling Katamari Damacy where you’re trying to eat bigger and bigger things. A you’re a cat…that’s also a ball. CATBALL!!!!

Keep an eye out, there’s going to be a lot more of these before the holidays.
