It’s not like Transformers is the first to be guilty of this or anything…cartoons and movies have been doing it forevs. Think of your favourite cartoon movie…is there or is there not a delightful talking animal exhibiting some manner of cultural stereotype? It all begs the question…why is it okay to parody a group of people like that as long as the character doing it isn’t human?
Honestly, I think we honkeys can be a little racially over-sensitive sometimes. I’m not saying let’s all be bigots. I just mean that some of us rock the whole white guilt thing a little too hard. But goddamn, I remember watching Star Wars Episode One (*shudder*) and just dropping my jaw at Jar Jar and the Trade Federation aliens.
It feels like lazy writing to me. It’s like they can’t differentiate the character traits of the talking Lion, the talking Zebra, AND the talking Hippo without making one of them black and sassy.
I don’t even mind it so much if the character is AWESOME, like Jazz from the first Transformers movie, or Sebastian from Little Mermaid…but when it’s a character who is an asshole, like Watto the Toydarian, or annoying, like the Twins from TF2, isn’t there something kinda wrong with that?

Oh yeah, and just so none of you keep your hopes up any longer, THE TWINS ARE BACK IN TF3. Shitty, dirty, balls.
This is my new favourite thing. Read it, LOVE IT.

And here I thought Transformers 3 would just be Megan Fox running slow motion.
Funny you should mention that…she’s actually not even in TF3 lol.

! She’s not in TF3? But she’s so pretty when she’s not talking!
LOL…maybe she’s quitting so that she can try to be a more *snicker snicker*…serious actress…bahahahaha

What’s wrong with that is that it’s the second stage of bigotry, where the affected group may only be portrayed in universally positive ways. We’re currently there with gay characters who may never be portrayed as anything but wise, sensitive, compassionate, and usually morally superior to everyone else.
It’s true…”positive” stereotyping is still stereotyping.

Hehe @ the comic.
As for the twins in TF3, I hope they show up only to be scrapped. Painfully. Completely.
Mr. Bay has offered $25000 (no idea how to claim this reward) to anyone that finds the Twins in Dark of the Moon, so sadly, we won’t at least get to see them slagged.
