The Consumerist – Part 1

Those who have been reading for a while will know it's very rare that we do a story arc in the twxxd mainline. In fact... in very nearly three years, this is only the second. We're not opposed to them... I guess I just don't usually write that way. Anyway... enjoy the twxxd Xmas special! It's a 4-parter that's going to explore what the gift-giving season means to different people... specifically that gift-giving part. Enjoy! ~C Be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, eh ;) Share/Bookmark

  1. You know, it wouldn’t surprise me if that was actually a thing…

    1. Soul-eating consumerism monsters, or rhyming dreams :)?

      1. A little from Column A and a little from Column B…

Unless your dreams are dyslexic or something 😀

  2. I actually laughed out loud on this one. Looking forward to the rest of the arc.

    1. Thanks! Always appreciate an audible chuckle :).

  3. Nice! Last panel is excellent! Nice rhyming too!

    1. Thanks all ’round!

  4. Fine. No present for you.

    1. Hang on now… we’re going somewhere with this… I think, anyway…

  5. Dude, the art work is getting better an better!
But why doesn’t the last part rhyme?

    1. Yep, that dude is pro. And yeah… it’s a lazy rhyme :).

    2. I think I see what you mean, Saeed. It might be even more awesome if Ed’s line fit into the rhyme scheme. Personally I’ve always loved that gag.

  6. I am with you on the dreaded consumerism. Every year, I bake delicious treats for all my friends and family, and I think it makes much more of a difference than spending my days as a mall zombie buying overpriced crap.

    1. I’m of two minds on it. The part of me that started the arc is with you, but you’ll see the other part come through before long :).

  7. Mmmmm! Yummy soul bits!

    1. Tastes great with ketchup.

  8. Sweet! Looking forward to this!

Also I love Edward’s Link PJs.

    1. Me in my cap :).

  9. The Consumerist is as Christmas classic as the Miser Boys (Snow and Heat)!
