Dapper Rapper: On Next Gen Consoles

Most of the Internet is echoing a collective yawn at the new console lineup. I’m sure they’ll all be great pieces of hardware (or at least they will be eventually, once Sony makes their console half the original size and Xbox replaces all the flawed hardware components they’ll ship with the first version). They’re just really not taking any chances.

Nintendo took a chance, and I commend them for it. But as fun as the Wii U is, at some point very very soon, I’m going to need some new content for it.

It’s going to be a strange year for gaming.

I compeltely agree with the comic and your opinion. I guess we could count Super Luigi U as new content….

      Yeah…about that. WHERE’S MY ZELDA/METROID?

I’ll actually argue that, out of all 3, that Sony is the only one seeking games at the moment. Along with that they will still be producing PS3 games and releasing them on the PS4 at the same time. Nintendo is trying their hardest at the moment, and has exclusive rights to the next 3 Sonic games (A decision I am not happy with but will buy the WiiU for this fact alone). The Xbone on the other hand… It wants to control everything. But it’s games are not something that draws me in and at the end of the day, that’s what we need. Games that draw a crowd, not this stupid social media shit that M$ forces into it’s systems.

    Sorry for the long rant.

I can get behind some of that. It’s hard for me because I am, admittedly, a Nintendo fan boy. It’s sad to see the Wii U this far in with no new games.

The Wii U is a small console-ation, indeed, Dap Man.
