Gary’s a Croft-y One

Phil is just too much fun to troll, isn’t he, Gary?

I’ve heard it said that the Uncharted series was taking up the mantle of gun-wielding wall-climbing rope-swinging spelunking games after several lacklustre Tomb Raider titles. It’s nice to see this return to form for Lara, but you would forgive those who are “late to the party” making a claim like Gary’s out of ignorance. Damn youngsters. Get off my lawn.

So I finished Tomb Raider last night. If you’re a fan of action/adventure games in any way and don’t have it yet, just buy it already. I can’t sing this games praises enough. The gameplay, the writing, the sympathy pain you feel with all the shit Lara goes through…all awesome.

I will admit to having never played Uncharted. I only just picked up the collection recently but haven’t got to it yet (my PS3 doesn’t really get all that much love, you see). I have heard good things though. Nathan Drake does seem like a female Lara Croft.

Nathan really fills out a dress.

There’s an image for the ages.

It’s too bad that it took so long for Lara Croft to star in a decent game. Ever.

I agree, though some have apparently been ok according to some.

I think there’s enough adventure out there for both of them, honestly. Crossover game, maybe?

That could actually be very interesting.
