I haven't actually played any games in the metal gear franchise, but based on numerous recommendations for the latest entry, I'm going to give it a shot. I looked up a timeline, and apparently the games occur completely out of sequence with the timeline of the story. So for science, I'm going to play through them in the canonical order (starting with Metal Gear 3, apparently). Wish me luck!

Those games are great if you like being stealthy, but I suppose that is the point of them anyway which I enjoy. Have fun!
