I don't have the heart to tell him, he could still lose on zeroes... I'm really not a big gambler, myself. I'll enjoy a poker tournament from time to time, but I have only been to a casino once. I put five dollars into a quarter-slot machine. After a few pulls, I won ten dollars. So I cashed out and left.
